Maggie was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. After attending Elon University, where she received her BFA in Music Theatre, she moved to Los Angeles, where she

Maggie is best known for her various roles in TV shows such as Grey's Anatomy, The Last Ship, Jane the Virgin, and most recently, Modern Family.

Maggie lives in Los Angeles with her husband, director/editor Banner Gwin, and their two children.
